TerraYou's personality tests provide deep insight into your character–but no one exists in isolation, and some revelations about your behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses might make more sense in relation to the habits and traits of others. That's where our new Compare feature comes in.
It lets you directly compare your result with that of a friend or family member, allowing both of you to better get to know yourselves and one another.
The Compare feature is currently only available for the Big Five Test but will soon be extended to our other personality assessment tools, so watch for it in the near future. It will work the same way for all our products. But how exactly?
How to use the Compare feature
It goes without saying that you can't compare your result if you have nothing to compare it to, so why not invite a friend or family member to take the Big Five test and explore their unique personality traits? Once both of you have completed the test, you will be greeted with the following message on the result page:
Pay close attention to the note at the top. It provides you with a unique token that is connected to your personalized result. You should save this token for future reference. If you have registered a personal account on TerraYou, you can find this token at any time next to your result in the “recent activities” section under My Account.
For now, just copy the token to your clipboard by clicking on the icon next to it and go to the Compare page by following the link in the same note or by clicking “Compare” in the page menu at the top.
On the Compare page, enter your name and paste the token in the respective input boxes, then click “Add person”.
Have your friend or family member send you their result token, paste it to the box and enter their name, then hit “Add person” again:
Now both your names and tokens are listed, and all you need to do is click the Compare button:
And there you have it: both of your personal results neatly lined up next to each other, with comparative analyses and detailed descriptions for you to dive into.
Now you can explore each other's personalities and how they relate to one another, delve into your similarities and differences, and get to know each other on a whole new level. With your result token, you can repeat the process, one at a time, with as many people as you like. Simply delete the last person from the list and add another, using the same steps as above.

The payment page will open in a new tab. Follow the instructions to make your purchase. Ask your counterpart to do the same. Once you are done, return to the Compare page and refresh it–et voilà! Now both of you have access to the full Big Five experience and can compare your results in intricate detail.
